Target
Groups
The programme is designed for all Hong Kong eligible employees (including
new arrivals) aged 30 or above who are unemployed and would like
to pursue their career as a Domestic Helper / Security Guard. The program
aims at providing them with hands-on knowledge and professional skills
in these field.
Course
Fee & Allowance
All full-time courses are free of charge. Retrainees are eligible to
apply for retraining allowance, calculated at HK$153.80 per day for full
attendance, subject to a minimum attendance rate of 80% for
full-time courses of more than
one week duration. The maximum amount applicable for the course is HK$1,230.40.
Placement
Services for Retrainees
Christian
Action will provide Placement Service for retrainees who
have successfully completed the course assessment and achieved
an attendance rate of 80%. Christian Action has a wide
employer network and will strive to help retrainees find
their potential employers.
Certification
Criteria
¡¹ ERB Certificate: will be awarded
to retrainees who have passed the standardized written examination
and
have achieved
an
attendance rate of 80% or above.
¡¹ BJT*
Certificate (for HK142DS only): will be awarded to retrainees who
have
achieved an attendance rate of 100% for the basic security training
course
and have passed the relevant course examination.
* Basic Job
Training (BJT) for Security Guard is a SGSIA (Security and Guarding
Services Industry Authority) recognized training course under
the Quality Assurance System (QAS) of the recognition scheme.
